Piano
Guitar, Ukulele

The piano is a great place to start your musical journey!

The keyboard layout is the foundation to visually learn and understand musical concepts, and of course, you can play melodies, harmonies, explore a plethora of styles and/or compose your own music for your enjoyment. Many students pick a second instrument and comment how they use piano as their springboard to help.

Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, I tailor each lesson to fit your unique learning style. Choose the genre you love, or explore all.
For the younger student, there are always fun catchy songs, engaging games, incentives and musical cross-training (exploring bells, boomwhackers, keyboard, drumming rhythms, etc...)

For guitar and ukulele enthusiasts, many essential chords, melodies and strumming techniques are covered to help you enjoy playing solo or with others.
Let's make music together!
Singing
Kids love to sing, especially behind the microphone.
Vocal exploration can begin at a young age, while incorporating
fun-filled songs.

Breath and pitch control are introduced, while expanding their vocal range and knowledge of music.
The older student will explore a variety of genres, finding the best style that suits them, including interpretation.
Get ready for an exciting mix of songs, solfège, and note-reading adventures!

A little extra coaching...
for the SCHOOL BAND student.
(Band is near and dear to my heart.)

Scenerio One:
Group lessons at school can be a bit tricky... I understand, as I am a
former band teacher.
Sometimes a child just needs that little extra boost to get them caught up.
It might only take a few lessons
to get them to that level.

Scenerio Two:
Maybe your child is ahead of the other students and feeling a bit bored - then it would be time to move on with challenging songs and technique to keep their interest, and give them an opportunity to be a leader.
